Great news for the Aerospace Industry in DFW!

Lockheed Martin received a $22.7 billion preliminary deal to make hundreds of F-35s and most of the work is coming to the company’s Fort Worth facility, the U.S. Department of Defense said Wednesday. The deal comes in the form of what’s called an Undefinitized Contract Action, or UCA.

This type of agreement is a common way contracts are handed out, the company said, as it provides funding while the final details of a contract are being finalized. Lockheed Martin Corp. (NYSE: LMT) will receive $6 billion of the award immediately.
